Motion Controls: Unfortunately, the Split Pad Pro doesn’t have gyro sensors, and therefore motion controls don’t work on the two games I tested them in (Splatoon 2 and BOTW). As the Monster Hunter Rise hype train rumbles on, HORI has announced that the respected gaming peripheral manufacturer is producing a special Split Pad Pro model which will be available a month after the game’s launch. From 26th April, Monster Hunter Rise fans who are looking for a more comfortable way of enjoying the game in handheld mode may want to check this out. This isn’t the first time HORI has created a themed controller for the Nintendo Switch; the likes of some neat-looking Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Pikachu models are already available.
