Login To 1password

Get help signing in to your 1Password account, like when you can’t find your Secret Key or don’t know the sign-in address for your team.

When you’re on a log in page in Safari, just tap the share button, then 1Password, then select the login information to use. You may have to manually enable this button first by tapping the share. In your browser, sign in to your account on 1Password.com. Click your name in the top right and choose Get the Apps. Click “Add your account directly” and allow your browser to open 1Password. You’ll see your account details in the app. Are you using 1Password desktop app with the browser extension, or 1Password X? My off-the-cuff experience is that the simple browser extension tends to just save it as a password without making it a login (or maybe I clicked something wrongly), but I've been getting consistent results from 1Password X to save as new logins.

Tip

If you see “your account couldn’t be created” or “this browser is not supported”, find out what you should do.

To sign in to your 1Password account on the web or in the apps, you need a 1Password membership. Sign in at https://start.1password.com/.

If you’re having trouble signing in

Make sure all your details are correct. If you’re not sure, you can find them in your Emergency Kit:

  • Email address. If you have multiple 1Password accounts and email addresses, make sure you’re using the email address you used to sign up for this account.
  • Secret Key. If you have multiple 1Password accounts, make sure you’re using the right Secret Key for this account. Can’t find your Secret Key?
  • Master Password. If you have multiple 1Password accounts or vaults, make sure you’re using the right password for this account. It may not be the same password you use to unlock 1Password on your computers or mobile devices. Can’t remember your Master Password?
If you created your account on 1Password.ca or 1Password.eu, make sure you’ve selected the correct region.

If you’re asked for a sign-in address

Team and business accounts have their own unique web address on 1Password.com. If you don’t know yours:

  1. Go to https://start.1password.com/signin/team
  2. Click “Find my account”.
  3. Enter the email address associated with your team account.

You can also find your sign-in address in your Emergency Kit.
