Ladies and gentlemen, Ms. “A voracious she-centaur emerging from an unknown abyss and confronting people’s fears.” That’s one of Jones’s self-descriptions in her new memoir, titled I’ll Never Write My Memoirs (Gallery Books, out this month). Grace Jones, I´ll Never Write My Memoirs (2015) The biography is well worth a read – not just for fans of Grace Jones and James Bond, but also for everyone who is looking for life lessons of a real music and style icon. Grace Jones Memoir coming soon. Released at the end of September. Really looking forward to this. Anyone have Grace Jones anecdotes to share on here? In the memoir she transports you to that moment, and for a minute I was searching my memory for my first euphoric sexual moment, and it failed to compare to the one Grace Jones had. There is a refreshing honesty in the memoir.

Why: Jones has been a long-time fan of Miyake’s eponymous brand, having walked in his famed 1976 show. (She wore this same hat to a previous English-language signing.) Between the asymmetry and the bold color palette — and 40 years after she strode down his runway — she’s still our favorite Miyake muse.
